Pili Aloha shows a Palila (a Hawaiian Honeycreeper) sitting high up on the branch of a Māmane tree over misty branches.
The relationship between the Palila and the Māmane is a beautiful one. They both need each other to survive. Unfortunately the Māmane is listed as vulnerable and the Palila is critically endangered. Both bird and tree and endemic to Hawaiʻi.
