I am finally offering this favorite piece as a print.

11x14 inches, unframed on high quality giclee art paper.

The piece is named after an 'olelo noe'au meaning, "I am an 'A'ali'i, no wind can push me over"This represents a strong person who can persevere throug hardships. This 'olelo noeau feels personally encouraging to me as teh last few years hasve been incredibly trying for me and my 'ohana.

Many years ago now I had the honor of going to Kaho'olawe to help restore the 'āina. It was there that I first saw an 'a'ali'i. In a in a dry, windy and desolate place the 'a'ali'i grew strong. I never forgot that beauty. After everything Kao'olawe has been through. People came together and worked hard to protect and nourish teh land and the land reciprocates with the 'a'ali'i blowing beautiful and strong in the wind.

Here on Hawai'i island I see 'A'ali'u growing through lava rock cracks at the Hawai'i Volcano National Park and I am still in just as much awe. With this piece I wanted to display hope and beauty of the resilience of  'āina and our people have here in Hawai'i nei.
